DISCOGRAPHY

Roma Remixes is an album containing alternative versions from the Roma original tracks, inspired by ancient Romans and their culture. Most of the vocals in this series are in Latin, some of them based on classic poems by Caius Valerius Catullus and other written specially for the album. Some tracks also feature texts in Sanskrit and Spanish.

 

The remixes are darker and more hypnotic than the album version, going from house to minimal and
slow techno with progressive atmospheres. Vocals also cover a wide range of styles, moving between rhythmic house singing, choir arrangements and ritual chant.

 

The release is being made by Two Rooms Records, and Italian independent label working with House, Minimal House, Techno, Tech House and Deep House artists.

ROMA REMIXES I [TRR 017]

 

 

The first part of the remix album includes remixes of the tracks Martio, October, Pluto and Abril, with vocals recorded by guest artists Gala Berger, Itamar Hartavi and Utopyk Jones.

ROMA REMIXES II [TRR 030]

Roma Remixes II shows the deep house side of the series, with guest artist Utopyk Jones, Gala Berger and Jessica Polar singing texts in classic Latin language to house rhythms with 90esque reminiscences and eerie backgrounds.

ROMA REMIXES III [TRR 037]

Roma Remixes III closes the circle with a set of 4 dark Tech House suites. These remixes function as dub versions of the originals, turning the vocals to percussive loops which merge with the drums in rhythmic extasy.

ROMA REMIXES RELEASE PARTY

 

Release celebration of the Roma Remixes EP's at VCF, Berlin:

 

                                   

The event took place on Saturday 01/12/12 at 23:00. The live set with selected tracks from the album also included a special performance by El Fulminador & Utopyk Jones plus live visuals by Kalma VJ:
